David Holt Concert Featured In The Grand Opening Of SACS
On October 25th, 2008 David Holt will perform at the Grand Opening of the
Storytelling Arts Center of the Southeast.
SACS will host its first performance and fundraiser in its new facility on Saturday, October 25th,
with a reception at 6:30 pm and performance at 7:30 pm. Four-time Grammy award
winner David Holt will perform a concert featuring his music and stories of the southern Appalachians.
Holt is an accomplished
musician, having partnered with such notables as Doc Watson, Earl Scruggs and the late Chet Atkins to name only a few. He is a
regular storyteller at the National Storytelling Festival in Jonesborough, TN and is the
host of the program 'Folkways',
which is seen weekly on UNC-TV.
Tickets will go on sale
October 1 and can be purchased at SACS, by mail, telephone or online. Space is
limited so reserve your tickets early.
